Salon Policies & Client Information


When making an appointment and/or attending an appointment the client agrees to the following conditions which are in place for the safe and effective running of Shoshana Beauty Sanctuary.


HOW TO BOOK When making a booking the most convenient way to make an appointment around the clock is to use the book now tab on the website, Facebook or Instagram. If you prefer to book directly you can do so by text, call or social media messaging, Please allow up to 24 hours for a reply during busy times.


PAYMENT can be made by credit or debit cards, Cash, PayPal and bank transfer, credit is not given by Shoshana Beauty Sanctuary.


CANCELLATIONS Failure to provide 24 hours notice of cancellation or rescheduling appointments may result in a 50% non-refundable booking fee being taken to secure future appointments.


NO SHOW If you fail to attend your booked appointment without cancelling or rescheduling (“No show”) a 50% non-refundable booking fee will be required to make future appointments.


TIME KEEPING Please arrive on time for your appointment, I do not have a waiting area for early arrivals and late arrivals will reduce treatment time available for your appointment or result in rescheduling.


PARKING The salon is in a residential area, please park courteously, avoiding grassed areas and neighbouring driveways. Parking is very often available on my driveway and the side of my house on Newlyn Drive.


SALON ENTRANCE When attending Shoshana Beauty Sanctuary for the first time please ring the doorbell of 93 Dalebrook Road, the house with a red door, Shooie will greet you and escort you to the salon. On subsequent visits it is not necessary to ring the doorbell; Shooie will be expecting you in the salon.

PATCH TESTS Appointments made for tinting, henna or lash lift services cannot be carried out unless a negative patch test has been made at least 48 hours before hand.


CONTRA ACTIONS I cannot be held responsible for any contra actions you may experience if you fail to follow the aftercare advice given for the treatment or do not inform me during the consultation of any medical condition or contraindication that you may have.


NAIL GUARANTEE I guarantee gel polish for 48 hours against chips (although it is typical to get much longer wear out of gel polish) any chips after 48 hours are classed as wear and tear. Chips happening within 48 hours of a gel service must be reported in this timeframe with photo evidence, they will be repaired free of charge ONLY if the client has followed the aftercare advice.


CONSULTATION The key to a happy, safe client experience starts with an effective consultation. At Shoshana Beauty Sanctuary a consultation is carried out at the start of each treatment, please use this time to explain what you would like to achieve from your treatment, along with any changes in medical history, health or lifestyle. On your first visit or if the treatment is new to you an in depth consultation covering personal details, health, medical and lifestyle will be discussed and recorded and expected treatment outcomes agreed. The information is collected, stored and used in compliance with your GDPR rights. The information requested is to ensure that the treatment is suitable & safe for you as well as complying with my own professional insurance. If you are unsure if a treatment you are considering is suitable for you or if you wish to discuss potential treatment outcomes a free consultation is available on request.


WALK INS All appointments must be booked in advance, Shoshana Beauty Sanctuary cannot accommodate walk in appointments.


CUSTOMER SATISFACTION In the unlikely event of you being dissatisfied with your service refunds cannot be given, I will offer to rectify any issues you raise whenever possible. This does not affect your statutory consumer rights.


LASHES, BROWS, MAKE-UP, and FACIALS Please arrive to your lash, brow, make-up or Radiance facial appointment not wearing make-up or contact lenses for your own comfort and safety, and as time is not allocated for make-up removal.


MINIMUM AGE Any client under 16 will require a chaperone during treatment & signed parental consent. Artificial nail services including gel polish can only be carried out on clients aged 14 years and over. Any tint, henna or lash lift service can only be carried out on clients aged 16 years and over.

CHAPERONES Please do not bring anyone with you to your appointment including children, my working environment is only suitable to treat one person at a time unless you have additional accessibility needs.

SPECIAL OFFERS cannot be combined.


GIFT VOUCHERS are available and have a 12 month use by date unless they are promotional gift vouchers in which case the expiry will be clearly stated on the promotion information.


PRIVACY & MODESTY For certain treatments you will be required to partially disrobe to allow effective treatment. In this case it will be explained clearly how to prepare for treatment and you will be allowed privacy to do this. Your modesty will be maintained throughout treatment so you should never feel exposed or uncomfortable.


FACILITIES Shoshana Beauty Sanctuary is a relaxing boutique retreat created with your comfort in mind. The toilet facilities are separate to the salon on the ground floor of my home.


RECEPTIONIST I have a receptionist called Nahla, she is small, furry, has four legs, a waggy tail and a wet nose! She is a friendly Border Terrier. She does not come into the salon; you will only meet her if you need to use the toilet in my home. Please close the gate behind you after visiting Shoshana Beauty Sanctuary.
